The Kansas city skyline was light up by hot air balloons on August 20 during the National World War One Museum, Kansas City Great Balloon Glow event. Spectators from all over eastern Kansas and western Missouri gathered on the museum and memorial ground between the World War One Museum and Union Station. The lawn was dotted in food trucks, and merchant tents, with entertainment hosted by Cumulus Radio. The Festivities started at 5 pm and lasted until the sunset where the hot air balloons could be seen glowing across sky.
