Bundles include options for t-shirts and hoodies as well. http://secondtolastpunx.bandcamp.com/ Second To Last's latest offering has been garnering positive acclaim from listeners and critics. Easycore.net wrote: "Besides Vessel only being four songs, it is a great release and shows the quick growth of yet another amazing pop-punk band in Second To Last. Go pick this one up when it comes out; I can’t get it out of my head." Second To Last - Vessel June 5, 2012 Hella Mad Records 1. Feels the Same 2. Turmoil 3. Cheap Sleep 4. Dry Spell Second To Last isn’t uncovering a new genre or really even rewriting an existing one, but they are playing an in-your-face, audibly passionate brand of pop-punk that they enjoy as much as everyone who listens to them. Vocalist/guitarist Tyson Evans, guitarist Pat Mays, bassist Jason Holyoke and drummer Kristopher Ruiz might not have the road-worn experience of their older peers, but the 20-ish-year-olds have the determination and do-it-yourself drive to launch a long career. Currently touring off 2009’s four-song EP Mark Approved on Anchor 84 Records and 2010’s two-song EP Runaway on Pure Noise Records, Second To Last is set to add four more songs to its catalog with the June 5 release of its Vessel EP. Having toured the West Coast a handful of times with bands like The Story So Far, A Loss for Words, Seahaven, I Call Fives and Rust Belt Lights, Second To Last has already begun making a name for itself near its home base of Lodi, CA. The band was recently billed as support on The Story So Far’s winter headlining tour and also supported The Wonder Years on the west coast dates of the “Man Scout Jamboree” tour. They also have shared the stage with bands such as Set Your Goals, Senses Fail, Man Overboard, Fireworks, The Swellers, The Ghost Inside and Title Fight. As 2012 rolls on and Second To Last continues the grind of a young, DIY pop-punk band, they will lean on their ability to turn first-time listeners into long-time fans. Things are just getting started. Add Comment Make Do and Mend recently finished recording its debut full-length for Rise Records which is due out later this year. The song comes from the band's Part and Parcel EP on Paper + Plastick Records, which can be purchased here. Less Than Jake still going strong 02/04/2012

PRESS RELEASE: INTRODUCING VALISE: DALLAS-BASED INDIE ROCK BAND CURRENTLY SUPPORTING “DREAMCATCHER” EP; NAMED TO ABSOLUTEPUNK.NET’S “MOST ANTICIPATED” FOR 2012- with the staff writing, “With striking similarities to acts like Circa Survive and Tides Of Man, these guys are definitely a band to watch out for in 2012, as their debut full-length is sure to turn many heads.” About Valise: Hailing from Dallas, Tex., Valise is four guys playing the kind of ambient indie rock made popular by bands like Circa Survive, Lydia, Lovedrug and Deas Vail. They play a fresh brand of the genre, not letting their influences smother them into becoming carbon copies of the groups that have come before them. Formed in early 2011, the group recorded its Dreamcatcher EP with producer Matt Wilbur at The Vanguard Room, which is co-owned by Wilbur and former Copeland frontman Aaron Marsh. After the release of the EP, which drew rave reviews from critics around the blogosphere, Valise started building up momentum around its hometown. Quickly becoming the go-to local opener for bigger shows in the area, Valise spent the latter part of 2011 playing shows with bands like Lydia, Hawkboy and Deas Vail. The early part of 2012 will see the band trekking to SXSW and playing with Lovedrug. Rarely does such a young band get so correctly grouped into a genre during its early career, but Valise has been playing shows with the exact types of bands it should be. Now writing songs for a 2012 full-length release – which will again be recorded at The Vanguard Room – the upcoming year should only see Valise expanding its popularity and turning first-time listeners into long-term fans. With a young energy, a purposeful drive and the work ethic required to make visions of bigger things a reality, the clock is only ticking down to the time when Valise becomes a household name in the indie rock community. What people are saying about Valise: “Containing hints of Circa Survive and PMtoday, Dreamcatcher could really put Valise on the map ... For Valise, it’s the combination of ethereal vocals and mellow, haunting instrumentation that really makes them stand out … For only a debut EP, Dreamcatcher points to great things to come for Valise. From their faultless live performance to the spectacular execution throughout Dreamcatcher, Valise will leave us anxiously anticipating their debut record.” – AbsolutePunk.net (8/10) “Their ability to transfer from soft and whispery tones to thundering choruses and verses was magnificent, and they turned heads … The set was extremely passionate: each note played (especially the awesome chorus in “Chains”) was echoed throughout the room with the most emphatic creak of passion. The atmosphere they created, the tones, and vibe given was nothing short of stellar. Believe me, they will be huge one day; go check them out. You will not be disappointed.” – MindEqualsBlown.net Valise is currently supporting its Dreamcatcher EP, which came out in 2011. Listen to the opening title track from Dreamcatcher on AbsolutePunk.
